JUST MMA is back this March with the theme “Hong Kong goes all out”. Every match up features a Hong Kong resident versus a foreigner. Following the charity match ups and the undercard bouts, the main cards will be broadcasting live on Hong Kong’s NowTV Sports.

On March 16th, the undercard of JUST MMA – Hong Kong 2 will feature two Amateur bouts, one will be between Singaporean Boxer Amanda Chan and Hong Konger Ashleigh Martin, and the other will be between two Hong Kong locals, Day Yuen and Stone Si.

The bout between Amanda Chan and Ashleigh Martin is the only featured female bout on the card, and for sure will start the undercard with some fireworks!

Amanda Chan started boxing in the Netherlands and since moving to Singapore, joined the most prestigious boxing gym, Juggernaut Fight Club and regularly attends wrestling and BJJ classes as well. Since then, she has been actively competing in kickboxing and amateur MMA matches.

Ashleigh Martin was first introduced to Muay Thai for fitness as a teenager but never considered being competitive in combat sports until started to train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu two years ago during her stay in Singapore. Upon her return to her home – Hong Kong, she signed up for an intensive competition programme resulting in her first MMA fight and victory.

The second amateur bout of the night between Day Yuen and Stone Si will be a classic clash between Eastern and Western style of fighting.

Day Yuen is a familiar face on the local combat scene. With a strong boxing background, Day became interested in MMA and came out on top in his division during the 2017 Hong Kong Amateur Shooto Tournament. On the other hand, his opponent Stone Si has a good foundation in Sanda and Wing Chun, and has won several Sanda and Wing Chun tournaments over the past few years.

JUST MMA will continue to provide opportunities to fighters of all levels and a platform for them to share their skills, develop their techniques and launch them into the global stage of combat sports.
