On March 16, 2018, Hong Kong’s top mixed martial artists will go all out in front of Hong Kong crowd as Hong Kong’s only live broadcast Mixed Martial Arts Promotion JUST MMA returns to Wan Chai Southorn Stadium with JUST MMA – Hong Kong 2!
With Hong Kong’s deep history on martial arts and combat sports, JUST Challenge – Hong Kong 2 is going to show the combat sports world that Hong Kong MMA athletes are ready to step up to the bigger stage along side with the talents from around the world such as Singapore, France, Korea, Philippines and China.
JUST MMA – Hong Kong 2’s main card featured BJJ expert Roberto Medalla going against Wing Chun fighter Marc Guyon in a bantamweight showdown, while the new generation of Hong Kong MMA fighters, the well-rounded Adrian Fok and knockout artist Yeuk Hon Ng go head to head to determine who is the top flyweight in Hong Kong. Also on the card will be Sasha Palatnikov go head to head with Korea Team MAD prospect Ko Seok Hyeon.
On Undercard, the evening will start off with two JUST For Good Charity bouts, with 4 fighters readied themselves and raised money and awareness for charities of their choice. The Preliminary Bouts will also see two amateur matchups between Amanda Chan and Ashleigh Martin in a female clash, as well as experienced boxer Day Yuen going against Wing Chun specialist Stone Si.

Heavy-weight fighters Mark “Moondog” Mooney will square off against Sam Fisher. Both weighing in at 100kg, both men have been devoted to their causes and demonstrate great heart in their training.

Fraser McPhie, a scotsman with an explosive style. Having grown up trained in Karate and recently resiting boxing, McPhie will be raising awareness and donations for a Venezuelan charity. His opponent is the younger Michael Compton of England. A practitioner of Wing Chun for 5 years yet has been out of practice for a year, picked up Brazilian jiu-jitsu a few months ago. Amanda Chan started boxing in the Netherlands and since moving to Singapore, joined the most prestigious boxing gym, Juggernaut Fight Club and regularly attends wrestling and BJJ classes as well. She has competed and won once in MMA. Ashleigh Martin was first introduced to Muay Thai for fitness as a teenager but never considered taking it seriously. When she started Brazilian jiu-jitsu two years ago she soon revisited striking and introduced to MMA in Singapore. When she returned to her Home in Hong Kong, she signed up for an intensive competition programme resulting in her first MMA fight and victory.
This match between Day Yuen and Stone Si will be a classic clash between Eastern and Western style of fighting. A familiar face on the local boxing community, Day Yuen is a three times Hong Kong boxing champion, and has came out on top in his division in and Hong Kong Amateur MMA Tournament during 2017. On the other hand, his opponent Stone Si has a good foundation in Sanda and Wing Chun, and has won several Sanda and Wing Chun tournaments over the past few years.
Max Leali has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu with the intention to go professional since he was 14 years old. With fights in Muay Thai and a multitude of Jiu-jitsu Competitions, Max also crowned the first Amateur Champion in his division in 2016’s Hong Kong Amateur Shooto Tournament and the first to represent Hong Kong to fight in the All Japan Amateur Shooto Championship. His opponent is the experience Cao Zhen Hai. Frequently fighting around China, Cao has some razor sharp striking skills that his opponents should always look out for.
A reputable figure in the Hong Kong Fight scene as well as within the sport community, Bernard Fung is the captain of the Hong Kong Ice Hockey Team, and has been competing in MMA since 2011. His opponent Darius Azadeh from France is the fast paced new comer who currently training in Singapore in the focus of becoming an all-rounded MMA athlete by improving his wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu on top of his already established boxing skills. Benard Fung being 188cm in height while Darius Azadeh at 196cm, these two will be towering inside the cage as the fight begins.
A proud owner of the 2 second KO in a Hong Kong Muay Thai Tournament, Yeuk Hon Ng made his successful MMA pro debut with a hard fought split decision victory in early 2017, and now he is eager to go back into the cage to prove he is a force to be reckoned with. Experienced in Muay Thai and BJJ competition, Adrian Fok is no stranger to be inside the cage. Having fought few times in front of the Hong Kong crowd, Adrian’s never back down fighting style has proven to be dangerous to whoever standing across the cage with him.
After a hard fought lost in 2017, the strong and athletic BJJ Brown Belt Sasha Palatnikov will test his hands again against Ko Seok Hyeon from one of Korea’s toughest gyms - Team MAD. Aside from his successful MMA debut in January 2018, Ko also won the 82kg World Combat Sambo Champion in the 2017 Russia Baikal Cup Combat Sambo International Tournament.
With both men hammered their way out for their victories at December’s JUST MMA – JUST Challenge Hong Kong, this fight between Marc Guyon and Roberto Medalla is not a match to be missed. Originated from his Wing Chun background, Marc Guyon has evolved into a much well-rounded fighter with the addition wrestling and BJJ skills into his arsenal. On the other hand, Roberto Medalla, a BJJ purple belt, has proven to be well-versed in his striking and grappling department. Fans can expect there will be aggressive exchanges both on their feet and on the ground for this match up.
